BUENA – The Caper Tigers competed at the Cape-Atlantic League Track and Field Championships Saturday at Buena Regional High School.
Senior Ella Biersbach finished fourth in the girls long jump finals with her leap of 16 feet 11 inches. Mainland Regional’s Camryn DeMorat won with a leap of 17’8.5”.
Biersbach was part of the 4×400 relay which finished fifth in a time of 4:15.03. Atlantic City won with a time of 4:03.5. Running with Biersbach were seniors Jenna Hill and Jasmine Black and freshman Abigail Verity.
Biersbach also finished fifth in the 200 meters with a time of 27.02 seconds. Atlantic Tech’s Brianna Growalt won in 25.92.
Verity was seventh in the 400 meters in 1:00.88. Ocean City’s Carly Godfrey won in 56.74 seconds.
Hill was seventh (1:10.53) and Black eighth (1:11.20) in the 400 hurdles. Growalt won in 1:01.5.
Junior Katarina Ojasoo was seventh in the pole vault, clearing 7’. Mainland’s Gianna Shea won at 11’3”.
