Winter snowstorm

Five to six inches of snow fell on southern Cape May County Sunday, covering these bears along Sunset Boulevard, above, bringing out the plows at Carl T. Mitnick School in Lower Township and by the lighthouse at Cape May Point State Park, leaving a bike stranded on Park Boulevard in West Cape May and Beach Avenue in Cape May deserted. With frigid temperatures expected for a week, the snow will be sticking around. Local schools were canceled Monday.
