Wildwood Crest man charged with aggravated sexual assault

WILDWOOD CREST — A Wildwood Crest man faces aggravated sexual assault charges and others following a joint investigation.

Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland and Wildwood Crest Police Chief Robert Lloyd announced the arrest of Michael J. Lupacckino.

The charges follow a joint investigation initiated by the Wildwood Crest Police Department Detective Division and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.

On March 17, the Wildwood Crest Police Department received information regarding Lupacckino’s alleged involvement in multiple incidents of sexual assault that began in October 2024.

The investigation, which included statements from witnesses, the collection of forensic evidence and the execution of search warrants at Lupacckino’s residence, resulted in charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Lupacckino was lodged at the Cape May County Jail pending further legal proceedings.

“This case highlights the strong partnership between the Wildwood Crest Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office in our shared commitment to holding offenders accountable and ensuring the safety of our community,” Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland said. “We are continuing our efforts to investigate and bring justice to all victims involved.”

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities believe there may be additional victims. Authorities encourage anyone with additional information or who may have been a victim to contact the Prosecutor’s Office at (609) 465-1135, the Wildwood Crest Police Department at (609) 522-2456 or submit an anonymous tip at cmcpo.tips.
