Power outage at Sentinel and Star and Wave offices

OCEAN CITY – The offices of the Ocean City Sentinel and sister newspaper Cape May Star and Wave have been closed this week because of a localized power outage.

“We apologize to readers and business customers who have been trying to contact us by phone,” said Publisher David Nahan. “We were closed on Monday because of the snowstorm, and when our staffers arrived at the office on Tuesday we found out our power, and that of a few neighboring businesses in Ocean City, was out.

“Atlantic City Electric informed us we could get power back by noon on Thursday,” Nahan said. “That is what we are hoping.”

The offices for both newspapers are at 218 West Ave., Ocean City.
