LEONARD CARSILLO

Leonard Carsillo, 70, Cape May, NJ, passed away March 21, 2026.

Born in Philadelphia, June 20, 1955, to Lenin and Rose Carsillo (Penza). He moved to Wildwood Crest as a child. Len attended Wildwood Catholic, later the Art Institute of Atlanta.

Len’s passion for photography set a career path operating photo studios. Len’s work allowed to help preserve memories of countless families and individuals on land, sea, and air.

Len moved to Pennsylvania, started a family, immersed in the community.

Returning to Wildwood, Len used creativity for weddings, theatre, and events. His work with The Cape May Jazz Festival and Special Vacations ranked among his proudest accomplishments. As Museum Curator for the NAS Wildwood Aviation Museum, Len worked alongside the same Boeing N2S-3 Stearman his father worked on during his time as naval mechanic (pictured).

Len spent later years alongside cherished friends on the beach in Cape May.

Len, preceded in death by his parents, Lenin and Rose Carsillo. Survived by son, Drew, Los Angeles, CA; daughter, Nola, (Winston Chit) grandson, Winston Jr., LEHT, NJ; sister, Angela, Cape May, NJ.

Len expressed deepest gratitude to Shriners Hospital as a childhood amputee. In lieu of flowers, donations requested in his name.
