Hoot & Howl Nature Prowl

The Nature Center of Cape May hosted some not-so-spooky Halloween fun for the whole family Oct. 30 during its Hoot & Howl Nature Prowl. Families dropped by for sweet treats, live-animal encounters and spooky surprises. The Trick-or-Treat Trail allowed little ghosts and ghouls to prowl down a decorated trail to meet some nocturnal critters, learn about their lives and collect candy along the way. The Animal Artifact Graveyard provided an opportunity for participants to peek into the past and explore real bones and artifacts from local animals. Other activities included pumpkin painting and children’s crafts and a moth sheeting station.
