CAPE MAY — Equality Cape May has announced an expanded month-long Pride celebration for June 2026, featuring its annual Pride March & Party on Sunday, June 7 alongside additional community events, fundraisers and partner programming throughout the month.
The June 7 event will once again serve as the centerpiece of Pride Month activities in Cape May County, bringing together a Pride march, rally and party into a day of celebration, visibility, advocacy and community connection. This year’s theme, “Unapologetically Us,” reflects the organization’s focus on queer visibility, joy and belonging in Cape May County, according to a news release.
“In a time when LGBTQIA+ people still face discrimination, hostility and attempts to erase our visibility, we also see more community support, more people showing up and more reasons for hope than ever before,” said Ann McCabe, president and founder of Equality Cape May. “Pride in Cape May County is about joy, belonging, visibility and reminding people that queer community exists everywhere, including here.”
The Equality Cape May Pride March & Party is set to begin with lineup at 1:30 p.m. at Cove Beach in Cape May, with the march stepping off at 2 p.m. along the Promenade toward Cape May Convention Hall for a community rally featuring speakers and Resistance Singers.
The celebration will continue with an after-party at the Inn of Cape May featuring music, drag performances, dancing, community connection, a silent auction and youth scholarship recognition.
The event is free and open to all. Equality Cape May is encouraging attendees to register in advance through the Events section at equalitycapemay.com to help organizers estimate attendance, communicate updates and prepare for the growing crowd expected this year.
Participants are encouraged to bring water, sunscreen, Pride gear, signs and community spirit for the march.
In addition to the June 7 Pride celebration, Equality Cape May is organizing additional June events, including a Pride Ice Cream Social Fundraiser at Fine Fellows Creamery on June 20 and a community mini golf gathering at Sunset Beach Mini Golf on June 25. Additional partner-hosted Pride-themed events will also take place throughout Cape May County during the month.
As part of its broader advocacy and visibility work, Equality Cape May also requested official Pride Month proclamations from all 16 municipalities in Cape May County, and has already received proclamations from six, along with recognition from the Governor’s Office.
Additional event information, registration details and updates can be found at equalitycapemay.com and on Equality Cape May’s social media channels.
