NOTICE OF APPLICATION
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE thatValerie Ulrich (the “Applicant”) has applied to the Historic Preservation Commission of the Borough of West Cape May, Cape May County, New Jersey, seeking a Certificate of Appropriateness for proposed construction respecting the property located at 311 Fow Avenue, West Cape May, New Jersey 08204 (Block 29, Lot 3), on the Official Tax Map of the Borough of West Cape May. Through this application, the Applicant proposes lift the height of the first floor to comply with flood elevation requirements, while also lifting the second floor of the dwelling. Applicant further proposes reconstructing the roof and front open deck while also adding a new second-floor front deck with roof above. New windows, doors, roofing, and siding are proposed to be installed through this application. Additionally, Applicant proposes to remove the existing rear landing and staircase and to construct a new staircase and landing area on the left side of the dwelling. New pervious tire strips, patio, and front stepping stones are proposed through this application. The Applicant also requests any, and all, other variances, waivers, and/or approvals that the Commission and/or the Commission’s professionals may deem necessary prior to or at the time of the public hearing on this application.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a Public Hearing will be held before the Borough of West Cape May Historic Preservation Commission on this Application on June 11, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Borough of West Cape May Municipal Building, located at 732 Broadway, West Cape May, New Jersey 08204. Anyone wishing to speak on this application, whether in support or opposition thereto, may be heard at the time of the public hearing on the date/time referenced above. At least ten (10) days prior to the aforesaid date, the Application, as well as all supporting plans and documents, will be on file in the Office of the Historic Preservation Commission Administrative Officer, 732 Broadway, West Cape May, New Jersey 08204, and available for inspection between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Additionally, should you have any questions regarding this application, you may contact the Historic Preservation Commission Administrative Officer at (609) 884-1005, ext. 105. Any interested party may appear at said hearing and participate therein in accordance with the rules of the Board. This Notice is given pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1, et seq.
